If you are interested in improving economic prosperity in Humboldt County, consider applying to serve on Humboldt County’s Headwaters Fund Board.
The Headwaters Fund invests in projects through grants and loans to help Humboldt County residents achieve increased economic opportunity and success. Community members selected to serve as volunteer members of this board share a common vision to improve the economic prosperity and quality of life in Humboldt County through diverse backgrounds and professional experiences.
Headwaters Fund board members review and recommend grant awards to eligible nonprofits and government organizations, provide oversight to lending activities facilitated by partner agencies including the Arcata Economic Development Corporation and the Redwood Region Economic Development Commission, solicit community input on program initiatives to meet the needs of the community and protect the fund corpus to ensure long-term viability.
There is currently one open vacancy on the Headwaters Fund Board. The vacancy is an at-large appointment, which means members are appointed by the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors to serve all county districts, as opposed to one single district. At-large applicants may reside in any county district to be considered.
