Notice of Public Meeting for Discussion of Possible State CDBG Application
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Humboldt Planning & Building Department, Housing Division, will conduct a public meeting on Thursday, November 6 at 12:00 p.m., repeating at 5:15 p.m., via Zoom to discuss possible applications for funding under the State’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and to gather residents’ ideas for possible activities to be included in the application.

CDBG has issued a Notice of Funding Availability for $27 million statewide, limiting each jurisdiction to an application maximum of $3.6 million. The Planning & Building Department, Housing Division, anticipates applying during the next CDBG program year. Approximately $45,000 of CDBG Program Income may be added to the application budget.
The purpose of this meeting is to review CDBG eligible activities and collect residents’ views on housing and community development needs that will improve livability within the community. CDBG-funded activities must meet the National Objective of benefiting low to moderate-income persons.
