CEQA postings and filings are available to view free of charge online in the Self-Service Web portal.        

CEQA Filling Instructions

Every fish & wildlife (CEQA) filing must be submitted with a completed

You may file California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Reports in person with an appointment or by mail.  

Filing in Person  

  • Bring the original and one copy of each environmental filing and completed original and one copy of the CEQA Document Declaration Cover Sheet.
  • Payment of all fees (for both County and State) are required to complete filings. 
  • Hours for in-person filing are between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. 

Filing by Mail 

  • Mail original and one copy of each environmental filing to:  
    Humboldt County Clerk-Recorder’s Office
    825 5th Street, 5th Floor
    Eureka, CA  95501
  • Include the original (wet signature) and one copy of each environmental filing. Each original and copy are required to have a completed CEQA Document Declaration Cover Sheet.
  • If there are attachments, please provide one (1) sets of attachments for submission.
  • Payment of all fees (for both County and State) are required to complete filings.
  • Complete the CEQA Declaration Cover Sheet.   
  • Provide a self-addressed stamped envelope for return.
