The Humboldt County Workforce Development Board invites the public to review and comment on its updated Local and Regional Plans.
The public comment period is open from Monday, April 21 to Wednesday, May 21.
These workforce plans, required by the state, help guide decisions about local workforce development efforts, including job training and creation programs, and sets priorities on how funding should be spent to support local employers and people who work in Humboldt County.
Public input is essential to ensure the plans reflect the needs of the local workforce.
Share Your Thoughts
All community members are encouraged to review the Workforce Development Board’s Local and Regional Plans and share their input.
Public comment on the plans will be accepted until Wednesday, May 21 at 5 p.m. The plans are available for public review on the county’s Local and Regional Plans web page.
Feedback can be submitted through an online submission form.
“Building an effective workforce system that meets the needs of employers and job seekers requires community participation,” said Humboldt County Workforce Development Board Chair Dennis Leonardi. “It is imperative that these plans incorporate insights and expressed business and community needs that will help shape the future of a strong and effective workforce.
