Oct. 14, 2020 - Eight New Cases Reported Today

Humboldt Health Alert Posted on October 14, 2020

A total of 542 Humboldt County residents have tested positive for COVID-19, after eight new cases were reported today.

While today’s eight reported cases mark the largest single-day increase in a month, Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich said recent case counts have been relatively low compared to many parts of California. She pointed out that this is partly a result of the community’s adoption of COVID-19 safety measures.

“This commitment to each other’s health and well-being is a testament to the character of our community,” Dr. Frankovich said. “As the state just released guidance for limited gatherings of up to three households and with the holidays right around the corner, now is the time to continue our focus on prevention measures. It’s vital to our success going forward.”
