The Humboldt County Department of Aviation is conducting a long-overdue runway and electrical project at the California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport (ACV) in three-phases to make much needed improvements to ACV’s primary runway. The project began June 5, 2023, and is estimated to be completed on December 15, 2023.
A portion of Phase II of the project will require the entire airport be closed from August 14 – August 25. A full project schedule is available on the department’s website: https://www.flyacv.com/.
The Department of Aviation understands the impacts this will have on ACV general aviation hangar tenants and appreciates your patience as the department works to make these necessary improvements. As a courtesy, the Department of Aviation will provide ACV hangar tenants with a no-charge tiedown at either Murray Field Airport (EKA) or Rohnerville Airport (FOT). Please contact Lucinda Jackson at 707-267-9161 or ljackson2@co.humboldt.ca.us and provide your name, hangar number, and preferred tiedown location to confirm a tiedown space.
Please feel free to contact the Department of Aviation with questions.
