The Humboldt County Economic Development Division invites the public to review and comment on the updated Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
The public comment period is open until Sunday, June 15 at 11:59 p.m.
The CEDS is a five year strategic plan that guides Humboldt County’s economic development efforts. The 2025-2030 CEDS will serve as a roadmap for building a diverse and thriving economy in the region.
The CEDS helps align local efforts with federal goals, attract investment and supports collaboration across public, private and nonprofit sectors. It also outlines specific projects aimed at improving Humboldt’s economic future and serves as a requirement of the U.S. Economic Development Administration to remain eligible for federal funding.
The state of Humboldt County’s economy impacts everyone who lives and works in Humboldt. Input from the community is crucial to ensure the updated CEDS meets the needs of Humboldt’s residents, business owners and workforce.
