Water Storage and Conservation Grant Program
The Water Storage and Conservation Grant Program provided funding to state-licensed cannabis cultivators to install water storage and implement water conservation measures--an important step in the transition to an annual state license. The Program was funded by the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC)’s Environmental Compliance and Equity Fund. Up to $60,000 of funds per parcel will be available for eligible projects.
Renewable Energy Grant Program
The Renewable Energy Grant Program provides funding to permitted and licensed cannabis cultivators so that they may add renewable energy systems to their property--an important step in the transition to an annual state license. The Program is funded by the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC)’s Environmental Compliance and Equity Fund. Up to $30,000 of funds per parcel will be available for eligible projects.
Friends of the Eel River (FOER) Mitigation and Remediation Grant Program*
Through the Commercial Cannabis Land Use Ordinance (CCLUO), the Mitigation and Remediation Fund, the County began a new grant program in 2021 to assist commercial cannabis cultivators with road improvements that reduce sedimentation and runoff, improving water quality in impacted and refuge watersheds. The initial funding began in 2021.
