The Humboldt County Department of Aviation proudly manages six airports, ensuring aeronautical safety, public travel security, ongoing air service and compliance with all aviation regulations. While Amtrak trains don’t run directly into Humboldt County, Amtrak’s Thruway Bus makes it easy to connect. Start your trip at the Eureka stop, hop on the Amtrak bus, and continue your journey by rail from the next station on the route.
Humboldt Transit Authority provides riders with affordable fixed route and dial-a-ride transportation options that allow access throughout Humboldt County. Services span from Trinidad, south along Hwy. 101 to Benbow and Ukiah, and east on Hwy. 299 from Arcata to Blue Lake and Willow Creek, including the Arcata–Eureka Airport and the communities of McKinleyville, Eureka and Fortuna.
